CZ Shadow 2 Optics Ready (OR) plates adapt your factory OR slide to a specific red-dot footprint and set the optic at the right height for durability and zero retention.
What does an OR plate do?
-
Matches footprints: pairs your Shadow 2 OR cut with popular patterns (Trijicon RMR footprint, Shield RMSc footprint, Holosun K-series footprint, Leupold DPP & C-More RTS footprint, Vortex Venom footprint, Aimpoint ACRO footprint).
-
Adds rigidity: quality plates use tight tolerances, recoil lugs/pins, and correct screw geometry to resist shift.
-
Simplifies swaps: change optics without milling the slide.
How to choose the right plate
1) Start with your model
This page is for the CZ Shadow 2 Optics Ready. Confirm your slide is the OR variant and select a plate made specifically for it.
2) Select the optic footprint
Pick the plate that matches your red dot: Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K-series, Leupold DPP & C-More RTS, Vortex Venom, or Aimpoint ACRO.
3) Get threadlocker
Recoil will loosen untreated screws. Threadlock with Loctite to keep zero and hardware secure.
Installation basics
- Degrease plate/slide/optic interfaces and screws; apply threadlocker.
-
Torque to manufacturer specs for plate-to-slide and optic-to-plate.
- Verify screw thread pitch and length (no striker/extractor interference). Witness-mark and recheck after the first range session.
What if your CZ isn’t “Optics Ready”?
You can still mount a red dot without milling by using a red dot dovetail mount that replaces the rear sight.
