CZ Shadow 2 base pads

A base pad closes the bottom of your CZ Shadow 2 magazine. An aftermarket base pad can add rounds, add weight at the bottom of the magazine for better balance, and protect the magazine when it falls to the ground. Aluminium base pads are also more durable than factory pads when the magazine drops. You can choose base pads from CZ, Toni System, KMR, Eemann Tech, Armanov and Boss Components.

Which pistols the base pads fit

Most base pads here have a compatibility list that covers the full size Shadow 2 models, the Shadow 2 Compact, Carry and Target, and CZ 75, CZ 75B, SP-01, SP-01 Shadow and P-01 models. Some pads are made for one model only:

• CZ base pads from the Shadow 2 Compact series, with original capacity or +2 rounds.
• The CZ base pad from the Shadow 2 Target series.

Choose by capacity

• Original capacity: CZ, Toni System, Eemann Tech and Boss Components.
• +0.5 round: Toni System.
• +1 round: Armanov, Kummer and Toni System.
• +1.5 rounds: Toni System, made for the IPSC box.
• +2 rounds: CZ in aluminium or brass, KMR and Toni System. Toni System also sells a set of 5 pads.
• +4 rounds: Kummer and Toni System.
• +8 rounds: Toni System.

Base pads and a magwell

Factory base pads are not compatible with a magwell. If you have a magwell or plan to fit one, choose a pad marked as magwell compatible, see CZ Shadow 2 base pads [magwell compatible]. Longer pads also give you something to hold when you pull the magazine out of the magwell. Pads without a magwell are in CZ Shadow 2 base pads [magwell non-compatible].

Aluminium or brass

Most pads are aluminium, which is light and durable. Brass pads from CZ and Eemann Tech are heavier and move more weight to the bottom of the magazine.

Locking plate

The Eemann Tech steel locking plate replaces the original locking plate in CZ magazines. It sits on the magazine spring and also works with aftermarket base pads that do not use their own locking system, such as a fixation screw.

Do these base pads fit the Shadow 2 Compact?

Most of them do. The Shadow 2 Compact is in the compatibility list of most pads, and CZ also makes pads from the Shadow 2 Compact series.

How many rounds can a base pad add?

From 0.5 to 8 rounds, depending on the pad. Pads that add rounds have the number in their name.
