The right tool makes gun work at home safe and simple. With it you can change sights, springs and red dot mounts without scratching your CZ, and tighten every screw to the correct torque. Most of the tools here are made for CZ pistols by Eemann Tech in Estonia. You can also choose tools from Armanov, Toni System, Angry Bear, Manul, Ascalon Arms, Vector Optics, Loctite and original CZ tools.
Tools for sights
Sights sit tightly in dovetail cuts, so you need the right tool to move them without damage.
-
Rear sight pusher from Armanov for the Shadow 2, TS 2 and CZ 75 SP-01. It clamps onto the slide with a wing nut, and you push the rear sight sideways with the included hex key. Its brass tips do not mark the sight. You need no hammer and no vice.
-
Sight drift punches from Eemann Tech and Angry Bear. They are made of aluminium, so they do not damage steel sights when you knock them out or in.
-
2 mm drill from Eemann Tech for CZ front sights. You need it when you replace a front sight on a CZ that fixes the front sight with a pin.
For new sights, see Sights.
Tools for red dots
-
Installation tool for red dot mounts from Toni System. It helps you knock a dovetail mount in at a straight 90 degree angle.
-
Red dot mount installation tool from Eemann Tech. It is made of brass and shaped so it does not scratch the slide or the mount.
-
Torque screwdriver from Vector Optics with 10 bits and a range from 1.1 to 6.8 Nm. Use it for scope rings, red dot mounts and Optics Ready plates, where the correct torque matters.
-
Loctite threadlocker in a 0.5 ml bottle. Without it, red dot screws can loosen under recoil.
For mounts and plates, see Red dot mounts and Optics Ready plates.
Tools for springs and small parts
-
Sear spring installation tool from Eemann Tech. A small neodymium magnet holds the sear spring while you install it, and relief cuts guide it into position.
-
Trigger spring installation tool from Eemann Tech. It is made of brass, softer than the spring, so it does not damage it.
-
Firing pin stop tool from Eemann Tech for the Shadow 2, TS 2, CZ 75B and SP-01. One end installs and the other removes the stop plate, and magnets hold it in place during the swap.
-
Recoil spring tester from Armanov. You insert the recoil spring, compress it to the marked position and read the force on the digital scale. This tells you if the spring is worn out and needs replacing.
-
Gunsmith's punches from Eemann Tech in 1.5 mm and 2 mm, or as a set of four in 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 mm for roll pins. They have knurled handles and hardened carbon steel shafts.
-
Diamond files from Eemann Tech for precise fitting of parts.
Eemann Tech states that with its spring tools you can replace a sear or trigger spring in about a minute, even without prior experience. For new springs, see Springs.
Tools for holding the pistol
-
Slide lock tools for a vice from Eemann Tech for the Shadow 2, TS 2 and CZ 75B, and for the P-10. They are made of aluminium, so the surface of the slide stays undamaged. On the P-10 you remove the slide cover and the firing pin first.
-
Bench block from Eemann Tech for the Shadow 2. It has a trigger pin guide, extractor pin slots, a barrel bushing recess and a main spring port, so the frame sits safely while you work.
Tools for rifles
-
CZ 600 bolt tool, an original CZ tool for disassembling the bolt and cocking the firing pin manually with the bolt out of the rifle.
-
Scorpion Evo barrel nut tools from Manul and Ascalon Arms. The Manul multitool has a 10 mm hex interface. The Ascalon Arms tool is stainless steel and has a long neck for a 1/2 inch ratchet, and outer flats for a 29/32 inch or 23 mm wrench.

Frequently asked questions
Which tools do I need to work on my CZ pistol at home?
It depends on the job. For most work you need a set of punches, a torque screwdriver and threadlocker. Add a sight pusher or drift punch for sights, and spring installation tools for the sear and trigger springs.
Can I change the springs in my CZ at home?
Yes. The Eemann Tech sear and trigger spring tools hold the spring in position while you install it, so you need no gunsmith.
How do I know when the recoil spring in my CZ needs replacing?
Test it. Put the spring into the Armanov recoil spring tester, compress it to the marked position and read the force on the scale. A weak spring needs replacing.
Do I need threadlocker for the red dot on my CZ?
Yes. Put a drop on each screw of the plate, the mount and the red dot. Without it, the screws can loosen under recoil.
