CZ Shadow 2 grips

Grips are the part of your CZ Shadow 2 your hand touches on every shot. A different shape, texture or weight can give you a firmer hold, flatter recoil and a better fit for your hand. The Shadow 2 uses the full size CZ frame, so you can choose grips from CZ, Toni System, Lok, Armanov, KMR, Eemann Tech and Boss Components.

Long or short grips

Your first choice depends on the magwell:

• Long grips reach to the bottom of the frame. Choose them for a Shadow 2 without a magwell. See CZ Shadow 2 long grips [without magwell].
• Short grips leave room for a magwell. Choose them when you fit a magwell, or plan to. See CZ Shadow 2 short grips [with magwell].

If you want short grips and a magwell that match, choose a set. Lok makes Gridlok sets in aluminium or brass with a palm swell profile, and Boss Components makes the Palm Swell set in G10 and aluminium.

Materials

• Aluminium grips with a hard anodized finish are rigid and light. You can choose CZ grips in the SP-01, Shadow 2 and TS 2 series, Toni System Classic, 3D, Production and Vibram, Armanov Classic and Ergo, KMR Ergo, Golf and Kummer, and Lok classic and Gridlok.
• Brass grips add weight low in the frame, which reduces muzzle movement. They come from CZ, Armanov, Lok, Eemann Tech and Boss Components. The Eemann Tech brass grips come in sizes S to XL, from 0.8 mm to 3.8 mm thick, and a pair weighs from 136 g to 289 g.
• Duralumin CZ retro grips have the look of the original CZ 75.
• Polymer grips from Toni System are a light option without metal.

Shape and fit

The profile decides how the grip fills your hand. Lok Gridlok and Boss Components Palm Swell grips have a palm swell that fills the palm. Toni System 3D and Armanov Ergo grips are shaped for the hand. If you have small hands, a thin grip such as the Eemann Tech size S helps you reach the trigger. If you have large hands, a thicker grip fills them better.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the grips on my CZ Shadow 2 at home?

Yes. You need only a screwdriver.

1. Unload the pistol and remove the magazine.
2. Unscrew the grip screw on each side and remove the old panels.
3. Put the new panels on and tighten the screws firmly, but do not overtighten them.

Most grips come with two installation screws. Eemann Tech brass grips attach with self-adhesive tape instead.

Which grips do I need for a magwell on my Shadow 2?

Short grips. Long grips reach to the bottom of the frame where the magwell sits. Choose short grips, or a set of short grips and a magwell.

Do TS 2 or CZ 75B grips fit my Shadow 2?

Yes. The Shadow 2, TS 2, CZ 75B, SP-01 and SP-01 Shadow take the same full size grips.
