CZ Shadow 2, CZ TS 2, CZ 75B & SP-01 sear spring

CZ Shadow 2 springs

(38 products)

Springs set how your CZ Shadow 2 feels and cycles: the trigger pull weight, the hammer strike, the reset and how the slide moves under recoil. Factory springs are heavier to work reliably with all ammunition. Lighter springs let you tune the pistol to your ammunition and your shooting. You can choose springs from Eemann Tech, Toni System, Zendl, KMR and DPM.

Spring kits

  • Eemann Tech Competition spring kit: 11 lb recoil spring, 9 lb main spring and competition trigger, firing pin and sear springs.
  • Eemann Tech ultimate spring kit: the same base plus a magazine catch release spring at -10 %, a trigger bar spring at -15 % and an extractor spring.
  • Eemann Tech ultimate competition kit: recoil springs from 9 to 12 lb and main springs from 7 to 10 lb, colour coded, plus trigger, firing pin and sear springs, an extended firing pin, a short reset disconnector, recoil buffers, a trigger pin and a hammer strut pin.
  • Eemann Tech springs kit: trigger group and recoil springs in one kit.

Main springs and recoil springs

The main spring, or hammer spring, sets the hammer strike and the double action pull. A lighter main spring gives a lighter pull, but test ignition with your primers before a match. Toni System recommends a weaker firing pin spring together with its weaker main spring. The Eemann Tech calibration pack has main springs of 7, 8, 9, 10 and 13 lb.

The recoil spring sets how the slide cycles. The Eemann Tech recoil spring comes from 7 to 13 lb for CZ 75 pistols with a long guide rod, and the calibration pack has 9, 10, 11 and 12 lb springs. Toni System also makes a recoil spring.

Trigger group springs

  • Trigger springs: standard from Eemann Tech, lighter from Zendl and Toni System, -15 % or +10 % from Eemann Tech. A lighter spring lightens the pull, a stronger one gives a more positive reset.
  • Sear springs: standard from Zendl and Eemann Tech, -10 % from Eemann Tech.
  • Trigger bar springs: standard or -15 % from Eemann Tech.
  • Firing pin springs: standard or light from Eemann Tech and weaker from Toni System.

Other springs

You can also get extractor springs for 9x19 and 9x21, standard or +10 %, magazine catch release springs, standard or -10 %, safety detent plunger springs and the right safety detent plunger from KMR, and an Eemann Tech magazine spring for MEC-GAR 19 round magazines. For the Shadow 2 Kadet there is an Eemann Tech springs kit.

Recoil reduction

DPM recoil reduction systems replace the factory guide rod and recoil spring, see CZ Shadow 2 recoil reduction springs.

For the Compact, see CZ Shadow 2 Compact springs. Springs for other CZ pistols are in Springs. For all Shadow 2 parts, see CZ Shadow 2 accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Will a lighter main spring cause misfires?

Yes, it can with hard primers. Test ignition with your ammunition before a match. A weaker firing pin spring helps avoid malfunctions.

Which kit do I need for a full competition setup?

The Eemann Tech ultimate competition kit. It has springs in several weights and the key drop-in parts, including a short reset disconnector and an extended firing pin.

Do these springs fit the TS 2?

Most do. Springs with the TS 2 in their name fit the TS 2 as well as the Shadow 2.
