Sights

(143 products)

Sights are the most direct way to change how fast and how precisely you aim your CZ. A brighter front sight is easier to pick up, an adjustable rear sight lets you set your point of impact, and tritium keeps the sights visible in the dark. You can choose from original CZ sights and from sights by LPA, Zendl, Angry Bear and Night Fision, plus tools and spare parts from Armanov, Eemann Tech and LPA.

Sight sets, front sights and rear sights

The product name tells you what you get. "Sights" means a set of a front sight and a rear sight. "Front sight" or "rear sight" means a single part. If you want to change both, a set is the simple choice, because the heights of the front and rear sight match. If you only want a brighter front sight or an adjustable rear sight, you can buy one part. See Front sights and Rear sights.

Sights for your model

Sights are fitted to the dovetail cuts in the slide, and the cuts differ between models. Some models still share sights. For example, the CZ 75B, CZ 75 SP-01, CZ 75 P-01 and CZ 75 Compact take the same sight sets, and so do the CZ P-07 and P-09. The Shadow 2 and the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow share several sight sets too. Types of sight picture

The sight picture is what you see when you aim. Choose it by the light you shoot in and by your discipline.

  • Grooved: a fully grooved black surface that does not reflect light. It gives a sharp, clean outline, which many sport shooters prefer for precise shots.
  • Fiber optic: a coloured rod that collects light and glows. It makes the sight easier to pick up in good light. In "fiber optic A" sets the rear sight is grooved and only the front sight has fiber optic. In "fiber optic B" sets both sights have fiber optic.
  • Tritium: a small light source that glows in the dark without charging. In "tritium A" sets only the front sight has tritium. In "tritium B" sets both sights have tritium. Tritium sights come from Angry Bear and Night Fision.
  • White dots, white lines and luminescent dots: simple contrast marks. Luminescent dots glow for a while after exposure to light.

Adjustable or fixed

Fixed sights are simple and robust. Adjustable sights let you move the point of impact to match your ammunition and distance.

  • Fully adjustable sights from LPA and Zendl let you adjust the rear sight for both windage and elevation. On the Zendl sets, one click moves the point of impact by 10 mm at 25 m.
  • Semi-adjustable sights from LPA let you adjust the height.
  • Fixed sights, which includes most CZ, Angry Bear and Night Fision sets, are set by moving the rear sight sideways in its dovetail.

To move a fixed rear sight without a hammer and vice, you can use the Armanov rear sight pusher for the Shadow 2, TS 2 and CZ 75 SP-01. It clamps onto the slide, and you push the rear sight to the side with the included hex key. Its brass tips do not mark the sight.

Sights for Optics Ready pistols

If you mount a red dot on an Optics Ready pistol, tall sights let you see the iron sights through the red dot window. This is called co-witness. You can get CoWitness tall sights for the P-10 Optics Ready from CZ, Angry Bear, Night Fision and LPA, tall sights for the Shadow 2 Carry from Angry Bear and LPA, and CoWitness sights for the P-09 Nocturne from Angry Bear. If you shoot your Optics Ready P-10 without a red dot, the Angry Bear low sights replace the factory sights. If you remove the front sight completely, for example because you use only a red dot, the Angry Bear front sight filler closes the dovetail on CZ models with a front sight pin.

Front sight height and fixing

CZ front sights are held in one of two ways. Most steel frame CZ pistols use a pin under the front sight. The P-07, P-09 and P-10 use a screw. The CZ front sight with a fixing screw also fits the pin models, because the dimensions are the same. CZ front sights come in heights from 5.25 mm to 8.5 mm. The factory heights are, for example, 5.5 mm on the CZ 75 and SP-01 Shadow, 7.0 mm on the SP-01 and 7.5 mm on the Shadow 2. A higher front sight moves the point of impact down. A lower front sight moves it up. If you lose the pin, you can replace it with the Eemann Tech front sight pin.

Spare fiber optic rods

Fiber optic rods can break or fade. You can replace them with spare rods from LPA in 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm, in red, green or yellow. The rod slides into the sight and you trim it to length. Eemann Tech also makes spare rods.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install new sights on my CZ at home?

Yes, if you have the right tools. Sights sit tightly in their dovetails. Most shooters use a sight pusher or a punch and a vice to move them. If you do not have these tools, a gunsmith can fit them for you.

Do sights from one CZ model fit another CZ model?

Yes, for models with the same dovetail cuts. The CZ 75B, SP-01, P-01 and CZ 75 Compact share sight sets, and so do the P-07 and P-09. Other models need their own sights.

Which sight picture should I choose for my CZ?

It depends on where you shoot.

  1. Choose grooved sights for precise shooting in good light.
  2. Choose fiber optic for a fast pick up in daylight.
  3. Choose tritium if you shoot in low light or carry the pistol.

Which sights do I need if I put a red dot on my Optics Ready CZ?

Tall sights, if you want to see the iron sights through the red dot. Choose CoWitness tall sights in the collection for your model.
