It is most often subject to wear, its strength decreases and jamming can occur.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eFollower:\u003c\/strong\u003e the plastic part on top of the spring on which the cartridges sit.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eBase pad:\u003c\/strong\u003e holds the spring and follower inside the magazine body. Shooters often change this part of the magazine. Why?\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ebetter resistance when dropped,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ebetter weight distribution, where a heavier base pad improves the weapon’s behavior due to weight distribution,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eincreasing the magazine capacity,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003epossible ergonomic elements for a more comfortable grip,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003einstallation of a magwell on the weapon – to be able to insert magazines afterwards, it is necessary to replace the base pads with ones that are compatible with the magwell.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhy look for a new magazine?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere can be several reasons to get a new magazine:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eWear:\u003c\/strong\u003e even if you regularly and diligently clean the magazine, it is a consumable and subject to wear. A new magazine then guarantees quality and reliability.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDamage:\u003c\/strong\u003e due to rough handling, dropping or pressure, damage may occur.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMore magazines = more convenience:\u003c\/strong\u003e usually you receive two magazines with the weapon as standard. Constantly refilling them, especially during training or competition, will slow you down; it is much more convenient and efficient to get more pieces that you simply swap.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eIncreasing capacity:\u003c\/strong\u003e you put more cartridges into a longer magazine. The same can also be achieved by using an appropriate base pad.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat to consider when choosing a magazine\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen choosing a new magazine, take the following criteria into account:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCompatibility with the model\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSome magazines can be used in multiple CZ models. For better clarity we divided magazines into four groups:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMagazines for CZ polymer models\u003c\/strong\u003e (CZ P-10 series, CZ P-07 and CZ P-09)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMagazines for full-size CZ 75 models\u003c\/strong\u003e (including CZ Shadow 2 and CZ 75 SP-01)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMagazines for compact-size CZ 75\u003c\/strong\u003e (CZ 75 Compact and CZ 75 P-01)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMagazines for CZ TS 2 and other Tactical Sports models\u003c\/strong\u003e (including CZ TS Czechmate, CZ TSO and CZ 75 Tactical Sports)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMagazines for the CZ 2075 RAMI form a separate group; this model does not share magazines with other CZs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCaliber and length\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMagazines differ from each other, among other things, by length.\u003c\/strong\u003e In some cases a longer magazine can be used in a shorter CZ, but never the other way around, because a shorter magazine will not seat deeply enough and thus will not feed a cartridge into the chamber. A longer magazine increases capacity; however, its protrusion may worsen ergonomics and make the grip more difficult.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach magazine is manufactured for a specific caliber (9×19, .40 S\u0026amp;W, .45 ACP).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCapacity\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCapacity determines how many cartridges fit into the magazine.\u003c\/strong\u003e You can choose magazines with a capacity of 10–21 cartridges. Although related to length, these two parameters cannot be unequivocally interchanged – there are equally long magazines with different capacities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePurpose\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn some cases a lighter magazine with larger capacity will serve better, other times you will prefer smaller capacity. Based on our own experience and customer feedback we have a few tips for you:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eConcealed and EDC carry\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eshorter magazine with a lower profile,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003elight base pad (i.e. not brass).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eRange training\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eaffordable and durable magazines (steel, nickel) with higher capacity,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003emore pieces for more convenient training so you do not have to constantly refill and can better focus on your performance,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eideally with a heavier base pad (predominantly brass) for better weight distribution and less recoil.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eSport shooting\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ehigh capacity, fast and reliable feeding, rigid material (aluminum, steel, nickel).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTIP:\u003c\/strong\u003e increase magazine capacity by using a suitable mag pad and use a magwell for easier reloading. Having more magazines is also useful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eMagazine maintenance tips\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProper maintenance will extend the life of the magazine and ensure its reliability.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCleaning\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eClean the magazine after every training, competition and use.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDisassemble it according to the instructions, wipe the body and base pad from dust, gunpowder residue and excess lubricant. Clean the inside of the body, follower and spring with a soft brush or cloth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eLubrication\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eUse a quality lubricant and apply it in a thin layer.\u003c\/strong\u003e Excess grease unnecessarily attracts dust.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eStorage\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eStore magazines in a dry and dark place.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you are not using a magazine for a longer time, store it empty so as not to unnecessarily stress the spring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePre-use check\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVerify that the base pad is not cracked and that it seats correctly.
